Oakwood Residence

I had an incident that required me to go for short-term rehab but after I was done, I realized I could not return back home independently. The rehab social worker mentioned personal care, which I was nervous and reluctant about, but really had no other option. I chose Oakwood Residence and since arriving a few months ago, I am now very happy I chose to come. The staff is very understanding and offers emotional support when I need it. I have made many new friends here and attend lots of cool activities. My favorite activity is bowling. Every week they have a different entertainer who is always fun. I do recommend anyone looking to come.

My mom lived at Oakwood Residence for 7 years until she passed away Jan. 2024. I can not praise Oakwood Residence enough. Staff and administration were superb. My mom was very happy there and was treated with respect and wonderful care.

You cannot pay for the level of care our loved one has received here. We had some concerns with the room on the initial move-in, but they were addressed quickly. Our loved one has expressed that she absolutely loves both the residents and staff. She was on the mend when she moved in just before the new year 2024 and has made tremendous progress since then. We are immensely grateful.

We moved a family member into Oakwood a couple of months ago and have been very pleased with it so far. The staff is thoughtful and on top of details, and seem to care about the residents. The facilities are nothing fancy, but pleasant and quite reasonably priced for what such places cost these days. Our relative is content there and we feel fortunate to have found Oakwood for her.

My mom has actually thrived at Oakwood. She had a group of ladies from day 1 take her under their wing, she participates in the daily activities, she enjoys herself. Oakwood is taking good care of her. Liz and her staff are amazing with their care. I am just very happy with how my mom is treated there.

I highly recommend Liz and her staff. I work for a company that comes across many people who need to transition into senior / assisted living. On several occasions , Liz has come to the property and assisted with the move. I have witnessed her compassionate approach and detailed explanation to family members on this life changing move. Outstanding facility. I knew that from day 1 when I first went there with my neighbor to help her find her an assisted living home where she would be treated properly and respectful and Oakwood is that place hands down. Always answered my questions promptly and professionally. Liz and team have been great to work with reviewing with me their services and amenities they have to offer. Nice Job Oakwood.

My aunt was cared for at Oakwood Residence for the last 6 months of her life. I couldn’t ask for a better facility than Oakwood. Every single member of the staff cared for her like she was a member of their own family. They became like family to us. Oakwood is truly a hidden gem of Northeast Philadelphia.
